- Pre-Kindergarten: 4 years of age on or before September 1
- Kindergarten: 5 years of age on or before September 1
- First Grade: 6 years of age on or before September 1 and successful completion of Kindergarten
Yes, children who are not Catholic are accepted into the school. However, we must first accept those children who are Catholic and members of our supporting parish. All our students are expected to participate in religion classes and attend weekly liturgy. We respect all religions.
Yes. All Diocesan teachers must have current certification from either the State of Illinois or a reciprocating state or be in the process of attaining Illinois Certification through Illinois’ certification program. If the teacher holds a certificate from another state, that teacher must begin the process to obtain an Illinois certificate as well.
A large number of our teaching staff have their Masters Degrees and some are presently working toward it.
Typically our class sizes range from 7 to 15 students.

Yes! We at St. Mary never want finances to be a reason that your child can’t attend our school. We offer a few different scholarship options. Contact us for more information.
Yes. St. Mary’s School is in a Co-op agreement with Allendale CCSD #17 and currently have programs for baseball, softball, girls and boys basketball, volleyball, cross country, and track.
